Solutions journalism is news about how communities and organizations are responding to social and environmental problems. The stories in this collection feature a number of strategies to reduce gender inequality, which is inextricably linked to climate change.  In Karachi, Pakistan, a group of women gathers every week to bike around the city, bringing awareness to equal rights between men and women. In an effort to bring a feminist perspective to urban planning, app developers in India created the SafetiPin app, allowing users to crowdsource ratings of public spaces based on various safety criteria like lighting, visibility, and transportation. The UN Refugee Agency in Cairo is teaching skills - from handicrafts to startup management -  to a diverse group of Egyptian, Syrian, Ethiopian, and Sudanese women.  Women in Saudi Arabia and Tanzania are embracing entrepreneurship as a route to economic empowerment.
